Recycling service launched for Better Bankside |
|
Means client Better Bankside is launching a free paper recycling service for all its members. It has appointed First Mile as its contractor, following a detailed procurement exercise.
First Mile will distribute a set number of free bags to BID members, depending upon the size of their organisations. Once filled, these bags will be collected on a weekly basis by First Mile, with vehicle and operatives carrying Better Bankside branding. If organisations require further bags they willl be able to buy them from First Mile.
In the first instance BID members will be able to elect to purchase other recycling services from First Mile independent of the Better Bankside contract. However it is hoped that, in due course, the Better Bankside contract will be extended to include the collection of other materials.
Means' senior partner Peter Williams commented: 'Inspired by our friends at Paddington, we are among the first BIDs in the UK to offer a free recycling service. Better Bankside has always been seen as an innovative BID company, and we want to be sure that we are among the leaders in service provision to our members.'
