Sophie Tyler (pictured foreground) has been appointed as one of the two UK members of the European Conference on Mobility Management 2009 programme committee.  ECOMM is the foremost annual conference for those working in travel planning.  It attracts delegates from across Europe, as well as from the USA and Japan.

This year it will take place from 13-15 May in the Basque city of San Sebastian - Donastia.

Says Sophie: "Being part of the conference committee has been a fascinating experience.  With over 130 papers submitted, it's been a useful way to catch up on innovations from across Europe.  This year's theme of cross benefit analysis is particularly timely, as we consider how best to promote travel planning during the economic  downturn."
