In Merthyr over a 2 year period we assisted in putting in place a number of mechanisms, translating a high level strategy into a series of practical actions:-

• Facilitated and co-ordinated the officer working group with representation from inside and outside the council

• Prepared brief for the main projects

• Managed the process of appointing consultancy teams

• Supported the tasks of consulting on and promoting the strategy

• Developed the town centre partnership and introduced town centre management
